About The Ayeyarwady Foundation

During 2008, when Cyclone Nargis—the worst disaster in Myanmar's history—struck the Ayeyarwady Division, Latputa District, the Ayeyarwady Foundation began operations by delivering lifesaving materials and rehabilitation support to affected families.

Since then, the Foundation has consistently invested millions of Kyats toward disaster recovery, health, education, and social welfare. Among its contributions: supporting the reconstruction of religious and community buildings, transferring the Ministry of Mines building to the Ministry of Health, and constructing the 550-bed Yankin Children's Hospital in Yangon Region worth 9 Billion Kyats.

The Foundation remains active in providing free medical treatment to underprivileged children and continues to support the hospital with logistics and operations.
